Things I can actually do.
A non-exhaustive list. If you don't see what you need here, ask — the answer is usually yes.
Practice. Orthodontist. The friend's house across town. Clean car, careful driver, no weird playlist.
Kid taxi.
Flatpack furniture. Lamps. The toy that came in 47 pieces. Tools and patience supplied.
Assembly & odd jobs.
Patience and experience. I can explain it so they understand and I can explain it again in new ways when they don't. We get to where they need to be together.
Academic tutoring that works.
I played competitive soccer for over a decade, and played a bunch of other sports as well. Whether it's pointers or just a steady partner to kick a ball with after school — I'll show up, work on what your kid needs, and push them when they're ready for it.
A practice partner who actually plays.
Set up the new iPad. Move Mom's photos. Teach Grandma Zoom. I stay until it actually sinks in. And, I won't make anyone feel bad for asking questions.
Tech help for you or your parents.
Walk the dog. Weed the garden. Wait for the plumber. Move a couch. Tutor algebra. Drive Grandma to a doctor's appointment. Run errands the day before you host. The list isn't really a list. Just ask.

Honors-level GPA. National Merit Finalist coming out of high school. Spent a semester studying abroad in South Korea, and also teaching Korean to first- through third-graders at the Korean Institute of Minnesota — so he comes pre-tested on patience and persistence.
Has played competitive soccer for over a decade. A clean driving record to boot.
